samudra trio

Samudra Trio was born in 2019 with the purpose of creating their own style within Chamber Music. That same year they won the Second Prize for Chamber Music in the 19th edition of The Chieri International Music Competition. In 2022 they won The Martín Códax Prize for best Classical and Contemporary Artist in its 9th edition.

Their interest in the unknown works beyond Western currents, and the recovery of musical heritage has led them to explore further away from the original repertoire for Trios and to incorporate works by forgotten female and male composers as well as make arrangements for their formation. This departure from the norm is established in their first album, Odisea. A musical journey through four continents that wants to provoke reflection in its listeners.

Samudra Trio stems from a place of dialogue, understanding and curiosity.
